I find this refreshing and inspiring. I am currently supporting a small yet powerful NGO to re-think its purpose and strategy and we have come to a point similar to this through a different path. It feels more energising and hopeful. Would certainly like to connect.

I believe one of the main jobs of artists is to imagine a better future. The first step toward creating it.

100% my vibe. Writers of all kinds please send us your imagination activism writing - Bending The Arc magazine (don’t know how to tag it) we’re a magazine expressly for thrutopian writing (imagination activism by a literary name) I’m one of five editors across genres and if Phoebe’s article resonates with you, you’ll find examples of what thrutopias can do to shift the narrative. We’d love to read your work. Let’s keep the circles of amplification going. Big love. Xx

Thank you for writing this!! The term "imagination activism" gives me a term for what I've been trying to do with my Substack- maintain the wildness of my own imagination and encourage others to rewild theirs!! This connection with you and that term is exciting!!! Thank you!!!! 💙💙💙💙💙💙

Bravo! I am a specialist in Leadership Development and have just launched a programme called The Thread to develop active imagination to help people escape the flatlands rationality https://mikechitty.blog/%f0%9f%8c%bf-follow-the-thread/

Always happy to collaborate!

Hi Phoebe! Can’t remember where I came across you (might have been Kairos, did you run a talk there?). I’ve been thinking about imagination as an activism tool for a while now (currently writing an MSc dissertation on community gardens as spaces of post-capitalist imaginings!). Would love to hear more about trainings

This question is everything "What if activism was powered by imagination and vision, rather than guilt and despair?"

As I dream about building a better future & connecting through fungi, I’m ALL about this. Actively working towards a BIG vision to convert an old church I bought in lutruwita /Tasmania into ‘rhe MycoCerse’. Thanks for your wise words Phoebe 🐇🐞

Hi all! This was an in review read, and I feel it is aligned with the work I’ve been doing.

I’ve been spending my time as a system analyst. I’ve developed a social theory, lexicon, and compendium waiting for collaboration and other eyeballs. This information is useful in describing our relational experiences. I believe it’s important for me to adapt this information for different audiences, seek collaboration, build realtime examples of this theory, and continue building bridges from the old ways to the new.

Would love to hear from other Imagineers.

Happy to be on this side of time, building towards resonant futures that are bold enough to go against the grain and ultimately, towards expansion and coherent futures for everyone.

I’m the only activist in sight who is devoted to what we can do, in the urgency of now, to create the system change we so vitally need, and last year I gave a way $14,000 in prize money for envisioning how we could get to a happy future. Here are my twenty-one finalists. with my favorites being #9 and #21: https://suespeaks.org/essay-contest.
